Just to satisfy my curiosity, please could you look at the death cert and tell us what it says in the second column marked Where and When Died.

Well in that case the burial register for the Chapelry of Belmont seems to have the relevant burial record then.
I looked for  the surname Muir in the database for the same Chapelry but nothing came up.

Is that a church or cemetery in durham? And if so does it have a cemetery map and grave rows and numbers.

The Muir bit was a long shot as her mother was 79 when living with her on the 1871 census thought if she died between the an her and her Daugherty death in 1877 she may have been buried in the same place

Thanks for that boo, I did do a search for Belmont and it came up with that church but was sure as it sounded catholic

I find Durham record office awkward to get to, if there are any regularly visitors who wouldn't mind doing a look up it would be greatly appreciated
