Hi Ian:

I am researching Maria Kristina Nilsson...sister of Carl August Nilsson.  She was born 11 Nov 1884 in Törnevalla.

I know she moved to Stockholm Johannes in 1901.  Here is her moving in record 20 Nov 1901, 4th from the bottom:

It looks like her new address is 29 Thuleg.  I went to the Stockholm search website that you told me about a couple weeks ago, and I can't find her.  I tried searching a bunch of different ways.

I can't seem to find any books for 1901-1906 for Johannes/Jakob in Stockholm.  I found a mention on ancestry that she might have been married (at some point) to a guy with the last name Botvidsson.  I went to the Riksarkivet website and found some men with the last name Botvidsson.  But those who were married were not married to a Maria Kristina.

Any suggestions?  I'd like to know when and where she died.

Here are a few helpers for you. It does look as they got married but when is the question. You'll have to go through the marriage book which ends 1949:

Maria Kristina died 11 Apr 1955 at Lövdalen in Norrköpings S:t Johannes.
David Botvidsson died 9 Sept 1962 at Lövdalen in Norrköpings S:t Johannes.

Hi Ian:

I'm trying to figure out when Anders Josef Bjorklund (#7) left for America. I thought it was in 1881 or 1882, but I when I go to the moving record book, I can't find it. Can you give it a try?

I found a record of an A J Bjorklund going to New York in September 1880, but I don't think that is correct.

Hi Paul

You have the right Anders. He left Sweden in 3 Sept 1880. You will notice the text at the top of the page - "Särskild Förteckning" = Special Notes. In other words he left without going to the minister first and not being recorded in the moving out book.

A ha!!  Thanks for catching that.  I was going crazy trying to find him in the moving out book.
