Could this be Peter’s birth record...1695 in Strå parish?   I can’t see any other name that’s close to Peter for 1695.

This one looks like Pehr. Peter and Pehr were interchangeable back then so it could well be him.

Here is Petter Ofverman's soldier record. His surname is Andersson. I noticed also that his death record stated that he was a horseman in the army - "Ryttaren".

Thanks, Ian!  This is very helpful.

From the potential 1695 birth record for Pehr/Peter, it looks like his father’s name was Anders Andersson, correct?  That would match the surname on the soldier record you found.  I know that Anders is a common first name, and hence Andersson is a common surname...but maybe we found his father’s name.

I tried to search household records for Svanshals and Stra, but there are some gaps in the early 1700s.

Thanks again for all your help!  I appreciate it.

Hi Ian:

What do you make of this attached record? I found this 1727 birth record for Kjerstin/Kerstin.  Does is say oakta under her name?  I see Petter Andersson Ofverman in the record.  Is he the father?  Any other info?

Petter is my 6th GG.  I descend from his daughter Greta (who has the surname Pehrsdotter in the church records....so the 1695 Pehr birth record could be correct).  Kjerstin would have been a sister to Greta.  Greta was born in April 1733.

Hi Ian:  Can you make out the word I circled in red?  I believe it might be the birth parish for Mans Danielsson.  This is his death record.

Thanks,

Paul
