Thanks for all of this incredible information! Ironically, yesterday I watched a video on how to research more from arkivdigital including estate inventories. I think I will have to watch it again because it's more complex than I have imagined.

Thanks for all the tips and for going the extra mile with these records! I really appreciate it.

I will probably have a couple more today. Then I am out of town for three days so it will be quiet. Also, next week I am out of town for four days for a business meeting. So you may be getting a little break here!

I found the estate inventory for Stina Olofsdotter.  A few questions....so the first part (paragraph) states 25 oct 1814...which is the date they did the probate/inventory?  Or the date she died?  I see the next several pages list the items in the inventory.  And I see in the first part where Jonannes and Kerstin are mentioned.  Could you translate just the first paragraph for me?  I'll include a snapshot so you don't have to find it again.

Hi Ian:

I'm off again tomorrow for 4 days....but was hoping you could translate this marriage record from 1867.  There is writing with the names and also on the right.  Magnus Josefsson and Christina Andersdotter.  I'm not sure if it says where they were married...Kölaby?

Magnus was born in Ambjörnarp 24 June 1840. Parents: Josef Andersson and Stina ?dotter
Christina in Ullasjö 4 May 1840. Parents: Anders

One more.....Can you read the word before Magnus?  Brokare?  Maybe his occupation?

It is "brukare" = user, employer; farmer, tenant

Brukare is listed in the link I gave you earlier.

To be honest this is very difficult to decypher.

The date is when the probate was written. It just says that Stina Olofsdotter from Ödegården was married to Per Hans Jonsson and 3 of the children were left with what was on the inventory list and is to be divided up between them.

Cherstin Persdotter 47 years old.
Hans 42 years old.
Olof 36 years old.
