Hi Ian:
Thanks for the translation. I understand that some of these are harder to translate than others. But it at least gives me an idea of what the probate said and family members who were mentioned.
Thanks again,
Paul

Hi Paul
It's not the translation the problem but the actual decyphering.

Hi Ian: I have consulted several sources but cannot figure out the cause of death for Kristina Andersdotter. I can read the rest just fine. Is it Vrästa? I've even tried the swedish dictionary (SHDD) where you can put in the beginning, middle, or end of the word, and the only answer I get is wräka which doesn't make sense.

Any thoughts?
Thanks, Paul

Thanks! I'm getting better.
But I'm stuck on something...Carl Fredrik Norr (parents Frans Adolf Norr and Johanna Östergren). He was born 10 Jan 1861 in Landeryd. I followed him until he moved to Vist in 1879.
Here he is with his parents and brothers 1876-1879
https://app.arkivdigital.se/production/index.html?aid=v25108.b203.s195&page=main/index
Here he is number 68, leaving for Vist 27 October 1879:
https://app.arkivdigital.se/production/index.html?aid=v38677.b77&page=main/index
In Vist, he should be number 15...but it has his name as Anders Gustav Norr, not Karl Fredrick
https://app.arkivdigital.se/production/index.html?aid=v41926.b30&page=main/index
When I go to page 111, I see Anders Gustav Norman with the wrong birth date.
I see there are 2 Vist parishes, the other in Alvsborg. No luck there.
Did I miss something? I want to find where he went before he moved to America. He was known as Charles Norman in Connecticut. He married Clara, the sister of Ida V. Andersson.
I found a Carl Norrman on a passenger list to NY on the SS Bohemia. It left from Hamburg and Havre, and arrived in New York on 2 January 1891. It says he was 29 which would be correct. I'm pretty sure that is him.
It said he left from Axberg.
https://app.arkivdigital.se/production/index.html?aid=v52906.b47&page=main/index
Here he is in Axberg in 1890. It mentions Stockholm (did he go there for a while before Axberg)? His birthday here is 10 Sep 1861 which matches up perfectly to his records in the US.
https://app.arkivdigital.se/production/index.html?aid=v50946.b217.s209&page=main/index
He is the last one on the page.
Any suggestions? I'm missing the middle part...from 1879 to 1890. Did I make any mistakes along the way?
Thanks, Paul

Hi
You have the wrong guy. Here he is in 1890:
Landeryd AI:17 (1886-1891) Bild 194 / sid 179 (AID: v25110.b194.s179, NAD: SE/VALA/00212)

Thanks for finding that! I know that Carl Norman was in the United States in 1890 or 1891.
I believe the Carl Norman from Axberg is the correct Carl. I will start tracing him back. I already found his birth record and parents.
Thanks again,
Paul
