Hi Ian:

Who is Karl Oskar Gunnar Karlsson in relation to Johan Frederik Hjalmar Karlsson?  Both of Karl's parents died young in 1918.  This screenshot is from 1930.  Could Karl be a nephew?

Thanks,  Paul

Hi Paul
Just by looking at the image and not digging it looks as though the "fs" before his name is for "fosterson" .... adopted son, that is.
You could look up the birth in Risinge. He could be family as you suggested.

Here is more info that might help:

Just realised that this was connected. As I thought (and you), he looks to be family:

"fader avliden, järnvägs arbetare Knut Oskar Karlsson. Moder hans hustru Matilda Cecilia född Nilsson också avliden."

"father deceased, railway worker Knut Oskar Karlsson. Mother his wife Matilda Cecilia nee Nilsson also deceased."

Thanks for your help. I checked fs on a couple websites but could not find what that abbreviation meant. Also thanks for the extra information.

Hi Ian:

Please find Ida Maria born 1 Sep 1876 in Norra Asarp, #5 on the page

https://app.arkivdigital.se/production/index.html?aid=v183029b.b2020.s191&page=main/index

I see on the right she moved somewhere in 1897.  I tried to find page 341 in two different books, but I don't see her.  Can you track her movements until she left Sweden?  If I have the correct Ida Maria, she would have moved to the US between 1897 and 1901 (I think).

Thanks,  Paul

Hi Paul.

Although it looks like a "3" it is actually a "2". She is married and has children.......
