John Lipman married Rose Lipman (maiden name the same as his), in 1857, in London. Witnessed by Moritz Hahn and Fanny Myers. Children in the 1861 Census: Mark (born 1858, Aldgate). Children in the 1871 Census: Mark (born 1859, Aldgate), Catharine (born 1863, Aldgate), Lewis (born 1864, Aldgate), Mary (born 1865, Aldgate), Esther (born 1867, Aldgate), Barnett (born 1869, Aldgate), and Morris (born 1870, Aldgate).
Lipman family of Aldgate - ends with Lewis Lipman (d. 1871, Bethnal Green), son of John Lipman 'late of Glasgow' (1856)
McGregor family of Fodderty - ends with Alexander McGregor (b. 1765, Fodderty), son of Murdoch McGregor and Kate Stewart

Interesting. Do you have the marriage certificate? Who was Rose's father?

I'm afraid I don't. Rose was a year younger than Mark, born in 1837, also in Aldgate. I'll search 1841 and 1851 records.

Nope, can't find anything on her. I can't find Benjamin Lipman's parents in law either.
