Wow. Im so happy to have come across this thread. George fitsall hine is my grandfather. We are from perth western Australia.  He came to fairbridge orphanage in pinjarrah when he was 11. Today we celebrated what would of been his 100 birthday at the fairbridge orphanage here in western australia. He lived to 89. We wrote his him name in google today and this thread come up. We would love to get in contact with the original poster. My email is (*)

Hi. I’m not sure how long ago this thread was created. I believe that the George you are looking for could be my grandfather.
His name is George Hine but also went by Fitsall as well. He came to Australia as an orphan.
Would love to hear back from you so we can swap details.
