4th cousins?
I calculated that Ivor Amos and Idris Parsons are 3rd cousins.

Thanks, but Solomon Amos are the forenames of Solomon Amos Dando, but I don't suppose that alters your view.

Sorry. I'm confused. I meant Ivor & Idris were 3rd cousins.
Was George Cray father or stepfather of Thomas b. 1854? Who were parents of Thomas? Who were Martha (b. 1838) and John (b. 1831)? Brother & sister? Husband & wife?   ???

I am also confused. Is person "A" supposed to be the child of Martha Dando and George Gray? If so, Martha would have been 105 when she gave birth!

Yes I agree it is a little confusing.

George Cray was the husband of Martha Dando.    Martha and John were brother and sister .  Their parents were Amos and Ann.
George Cray was the brother of Job Cray, they were both sons of Joseph and Ann.

What makes things a little more interesting, although not part of this particular query, is that of Jane Cray,(brother of Joseph) whose son Matthew subsequently married  Job Cray's daughter.

Flattybasher, at least I'm nowhere near as confused as you!  ;D
Person "A" is child (b. 1943) of Ivor. Person "B" is child of Idris George Parsons & Dorothy (Rogers).
Whatever their relationship (or their respective genders) they can marry each other if they wish (as long as they are both still alive and not married to anyone else).  ;D
Relationship calculators exist. Are they more reliable than our brains? Is this question too complex for them?
I didn't study it properly 1st look. I've not tried to work out similar relationships in my lot.  ???

So, left hand column is individual males (offspring) of the one previous, with no partner showing. Right hand column has partners showing. Clear as MUD!! but now understandable. I.Q. available points for understanding this chart = 158.
