1861 Census Howden NAYLOR Completed - thanks
« on: Monday 01 August 05 11:46 BST (UK) »
Hi there

I would very much like to find the following family in the 1861 census please if possible.

William Naylor abt 47 bn Howden
Mary Ann his wife
Hannah abt 17 bn Howden
william abt 16 bn Howden
John abt 14 bn Howden
Ann abt 12 bn Howden
Robert abt 9 bn Howden

There was another William Naylor married to Rebecca or Hannah Rebacca who bp Ann 1855 & John William 1860 at Howden.

Was this the same William?.

I would also like to know if William Foster & his wife Hannah were still alive in 1861. Their last child was Edwin born at Howden in 1825. I think that Hannah may be the mother of the above William Naylor.

If anyone can help I would be most grateful.

Regards

criggy

Hi Pauline

Many, many thanks for your speedy reply.

You have clarified things for me nicely. There were obviously two William's,
one born abt 1814, the other 1829. John & Robert in the workhouse were the children of the first William so their parents must have died by then. The second William I now believe to be the son of John & Elizabeth born 1829. John & the first William may have been brothers.

Once again, much appreciated
