Thanks Michael and JanB for the MINNIKIN info.

I'll file it for future reference as I've established my MINNIKIN's weren't in the Newcastle area until early 1870's.

However, I'm sure this info will be of interest to Carol D - I'll let her know it's here.

Thanks again for remembering the MINNIKIN name.

Regards

Helen K

Jennifer

Thanks for those Census entries - I'll keep them for reference.

MINNIKIN is nowhere even near my direct line, but when the name appeared in some far off marriage I just had to know more !

My MINNIKIN died just a few years into that marriage, but I've enjoyed tracing him back-over. Daft really - just because I like the name !

Thanks again

Helen K

I realise how old this site is- but i wonder if anyone has got any further with these Minikins? Ive also traced by tree back to this same Robert born in Newcastle 1822.

Hi Helen

I was directed to your post about Robert Minikin in Newcastle.  I am also researching the Minikin family.  'My' Robert Minikin was born in Newcastle in 1822 his father was Benjamin, born 1794.  Do you think there is any connection?
