Can anyone help me trace Thomas Powell's parents. He was born 1845 in Tugford, Shropshire, but 1851 census has him not living with parents aged 6 as scholar.

The GRO has a birth of a Thomas Powell March Q 1845 in Ludlow (Tugford is in this registration district).  Mother's maiden name is shown as Edwards.

Hi again, in 1841 census the only Ann/Annie in Tugford area is:-

Thomas Powell 45
Mary 45
Ann 15
Residing at Balhams Heath, Tugford
Census ref HO107/913/ 23/2 / 11
Where do you have Thomas b 1845 from the 1851 census?
The baptism of Thomas 1845 gives address of Annie as Balhams Heath

EDIT I can see a Thomas Powell b c 1845 TUCKFORD married to a Harriet 26 b Munslow in 1871 census?

My great grandfather George Powell is living with his father Thomas Powell in the 1881 census. Birth says Munslow, which is near Tugford, but year of birth would be 1843.

Hi again, that appears to be the same Thomas/Harriett in 1871 above, was George b c 1879 Kemberton?

Have you the  marriage certificate for Thomas to Harriett?

Yes, he married Harriett Price in 1866 in Bridgenorth. Just still puzzled on Thomas Powell's parentage, as all branches of my family tree go back many generations apart from the Powell's, which is the key one as it is my surname.
