The only possible death I can find for John Surridge is in Wells Somerset in 1888?For Martha is shown as a Widow in 1891 when Showing as a Servant.Martha appears to have died in Chelmsford in 1930.

I think this is a different couple as I came across them when I was searching the census but like you I couldn't find a death for John
