In late June this year my grandfather's medals were stolen from a house near Cape Town.
The medals are:
Bechuanaland Campaign (Medal and clasp)
Anglo-Boer war 1899-1902. (Queens medal 2 clasps)
(Kings medal and 2 clasps)
German South West Africa campaign 1914 -15
He also had the British Victory medal and Star awarded as he also served in the UK forces during the last years of the war.
The medals are no worth much but because of their sentimental value we would very much like to recover them and return them to the family member who had them originally.
If there is any name on the medals it would be W.M.Stewart.
I am hoping that the medals would have been offered to a shop dealing in war memorabilia who would have bought them in good faith.
