Jane Potter
« on: Monday 18 September 17 15:40 BST (UK) »
I have just found a baptism on the 07.02.1830 of a Jane Potter mother Ellin at Yapham cum Meltonby York.  Could anyone check this record to see if she was base born with it only having a mothers name.

I am looking for a Jane Potter whose father was Daniel Potter mother Helen nee Bolton but they lived in Dalkeith Scotland.  However on 2 of the census 1841 & 1851 in Scotland Jane was recorded as being born in England.

Thought Helen may have been visiting relatives in Yorkshire and Jane was born there.  Daniel's mother was called Holdsworth which I believe is indigenous to Yorkshire.

Any help gratefully accepted.

Eileen

Entry states that Jane is the daughter of Ellin Potter, spinster, of Yapham.
Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.
