I am looking for the marriage of Thomas Bath to Ann?
Thomas & Ann had a son Worthey bapt.1808 in Box Wilts.
Worthey later married in Chipping Norton & then moved to Somerset.
Worthey was a shoe maker did he follow in Dads footsteps?

Have you checked the Box parish registers? I don't believe they are covered by the IGI. wiltshire in general is poorly covered by the IGI.
Thomas Bath appear to have been still in Box on the 1861 census

RG9 1281 folio 56  Box  Wiltshire
Thomas Bath 79 Box, Wiltshire, Head  Widower Shoemaker
Ann F Bath 46  Box, Wiltshire, Daughter  Unmarried

Have you checked the 1851 census for Thomas' wife and her parish of birth? If they didn't marry at Box and she was from some other parish close by they may have married there.

There is an index which covers Wiltshire parishes like Box but there is a charge

Box burials and baptisms have been transcribed up to 1837

Hi Pips ...

You were enquiring whether Thomas BATH and Ann could have married in Oxfordshire.

I have checked the OFHS's Marriage Index and there is no such marriage recorded.  In fact, all the (male) BATH marriages took place in the 1500s/1600s/1700s!

I also looked under BATHE (with an "E") and this was the only marriage to an Ann around the right date:

08 DEC 1796 - Richard BATHE (Kg Sutton NTH) to Ann RODGERS at Wardington

Don't think this probably helps much, but let me know if you want any further Oxfordshire lookups!

Thank you both for your help.I am pretty sure that Thomas & Ann remained in Box and I have found a possible death for Ann in free BMD. Thanks again  Pips
