Looking for Newspaper Articles
« on: Thursday 28 September 17 16:50 BST (UK) »
I have a Family Tree on the Ancestry Website and usually it has Newspapers,as an option on the searches but for the person I want to look up the details of a criminal conviction it doesn't give me the option.
Is there anywhere else I can look this up?
It was on 11th August 1912 Thomas Rowland Thexton had arrears in paying maintenance  (so nothing too gruesome ) but I wondered if it would be in a paper?
It was in Wakefield Yorkshire I think.

Yes, in Yorkshire. Archives often have copies of local newspapers on film/fiche;  not all are on the internet.......yet.

Wakefield library might have newspapers.
