Cybergran, are you a cousin of mine then?!  I am related to Isaac Noquet of the Well and Bucket in Bethnal Green.  I have LOADS of information about the Noquets and can put you in touch with a gentleman living in Snape, Suffolk, who has even more.  I'm descended from Abraham Noquet and his wife Anne Marguerite Poulain.  We should talk.

regards

WOW

How exciting, I wish it was me. However I was doing some prliminary research for my friend Gill (who by the way has now been "bitten by the bug")
She is related to Isaac via his grandson William Cecil  who married Jane Howard. Their youngest daughter Lydia Cecil was Gills grandmother.
I will speak to her tomorrow and forward this link to her. Thank you so much for getting in touch.

Kind regards..........................Cybergran.

Hi Sarah

Welcome to Rootschat  ;D

According to her profile, MrsLizy hasn't been online here since April 2009.

If she has switched off notifications or changed her email address she won't know that we have both posted here.

Fingers crossed, she comes back soon.

hiya, only  just come across this extended branch of my family but seems to me that the Willm Cecil b 6/5/1838 (son of Willm Cecil and Sarah Elizabeth Emblem and grandson of Isaac Noquet and Sarah Pyatt) who was at the Well & Bucket in 1841 was also there on the 1851, 1861 and 1871 census when he became licencee, retiring to live in Walthamstow by 1881 - am I wrong? wouldn't be the first time:-)
