I am looking for the death of William SOUTHCOTT b. 1804, Bristol, Gloucestershire, England.  On the 1861 UK Census but on no further census.  Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks. Sueq

Welcome to RootsChat! ;D

Where do you have him on the 1861 census? (I can't find him!)
Who was his wife?

I can see a William Southcott, married to Frances on both 1841 and 1851.
And another William Southcott, married to Rebecca on the 1851 census.

If this is correct - William passed away 10 May 1859 - the burial was Bristol, Holy Trinity, St Philip, Gloucestershire.

I have all the information that has been given to me.  William SOUTHCOTT was 58 on the 1861 census  R.G. 9/1738 so I know he didn't die in 1959 - I had already found that record.  He was born in 1804 and was baptised at the age of 18 mths in 1806.

Thank you, his death is still elusive.

There is a George Southcott death in 1862 Bristol, I can not find a candidate for  him in the 1861 census?

If you get Rebecca's death certificate and it says that she was a widow, then that will narrow your years to search.
