please can you help date Jewish family portrait from Lithuania
« on: Sunday 29 October 17 13:04 GMT (UK) »
Please can someone help date this cabinet card.  The couple are Jewish which gives some information about the background of the people.  It is likely that they came from Lithuania, probably Vilnius.  we don't have any evidence that they were in the UK, London to be precise,  and so as much info about these cards as we can glean would be helpful as they are subject to family debate as to who they are!!

Regards Claire

Ginger71, not sure you posted the right card(s). In any event, to help the dating people, could you post the whole of the card(s), front and back please - the actual card gives dating clues we mere mortals may not be aware of.  ;)
Cheers, Peter.

Hi Ginger....the image needs to be below 500kb and have a unique name, just add the date to the file name.

Better to scan rather than re-photograph, but whatever....save and upload the image as a .jpg

The one you have uploaded is a .png file which uses a lot more Kb's.
