I'll just bet you have all your answers by now but just in case and I can be of any help, let me know.

My great grandfather was the John Proudfoot you mention. Married Jeanette, moved to Chicago and got married.  One of those children was Clarence, my grandfather.

Think we have already been in touch via Ancestry last year and shared information that I had discovered. My cousin who has been searching a lot longer than myself confirmed at Christmas (quite a while ago now!) that John's grand niece, Ella was still alive. I think you have my contact details just wondered if you had any family photos. My cousin sent me a couple last year I will try to forward them on to you.

I checked emails and I have already sent the photos I had but if you have located any since that time it would be great to receive a copy. I know that there should be photographs of John via the divorce papers which cite that pictures were taken of him in Chicago with his partner before they married. Unfortunately I havent been able to visit Scotland this year. kind regards
