Hi Keith think that would be the best thing to do check out the death record and burial records

Thanks again for that, Rosie...
That looks a good fit for Susan GOTOBED, and that 1875 death entry could well be her husband John pre-deceasing her in the previous decade.
But you're right, I need to leaf through those pages of the Ely and Littleport PR's at the CCRO, especially as some of the baptisms have actual day of birth recorded too...

That's pretty definite, isn't it...thanks so much for taking the trouble to look that up for me.
I can now concentrate my time next at the CCRO on ploughing through all those GOTOBED entries in the Ely parish records...
