Carol what an interesting site.  Just had a look and it is for all those who served, not just those who died on active service.  Looks like I am going to have a busy time in the near future.

It's great isn't it. I did an exhibition at the Heritage Centre where I am a volunteer and found it by accident when I was researching Anzacs from our area and printed off a number of certificates for local men who served during WW1. There are also army records available for free download which I found invaluable. They were very popular.
They all deserve to be honoured don't they as their suffering continued for years after the war had ended.

Yes they do Carol.  The NAA website has all WW1 services records available.  Some go after the war showing the effects on the men who could not stay in one place or hold down a job.
My father died of war related injuries (WW2) in 1990.  On the positive side though he would not have met my mother as he would never have left his country town and lived in the city if not for the war
