Looking at all the other entries on the page, I'm half inclined to think that the place begins with G rather than S.

I am also wondering if it is the Gaelic spelling of the place.

I'm no expert on Scottish places or their Gaelic versions.  Hopefully someone who is more familiar with Scotland and its places will be able to help.

Looking at the whole page, it's not an S and other Gs have a definite tail. The closest match to other letters  is a T (a couple of Tullochs ) - Tealloch  or something like  that.

The only one I know of is the mountain, An Teallach (Hearth, Forge or Anvil in English),  which is on the other side of Rossshire near Dundonnell. A wonderful but difficult mountain!

Certainly a Dingwall kind of name, there is a Teanord & Teachat but in Kiltearn to the east. Tea presumably means house!
