St Andrew Holborn-- Susannah Lotte-1750
« on: Friday 01 December 17 22:52 GMT (UK) »
I cant find the St Andrew Holborn registers pre 1754 ? on the usuall commercial sites or anywhere else (unless I have got brain fade :o) So can some kind person, help me out?

Looking for the baptism of Susannah Lotte b.1750 (Lotta, Lotty, Lortie, L'ortie etc) Possibly of Huguenot descent. I have her marriage details, to Henry Green (Bond, Licence etc) April 1774 at St Andrews, which is her given parish. Details wanted of her parents, siblings, even grandparents!!!, there is a Rebecca Lotte who is a witness to the marriage.

Much gratitude  in advance  :-* ....Nigel

A 'given' parish on a marriage is where she is resident not necessarily where she was born.  There is a possible baptism in 1752 St Clement Danes with parents Nathaniel & Elizabeth  :-\

Hi
Marriage for that couple at St Benets City Wharf
Nathaniel Lott of St Clement Danes and Elizabeth White of Devizes 12 Dec 1750.
Followed by Susanna 16 Jan 1752.
Other sons and daughters -Thomas 30.3.1753,Frances 12.1.1755 st CD,William 30.11.1757,Richard 27.5.1759 StCD,Anne 194.1761 STCD,Elizabeth 20.7.1766 st CD, Augusta at St Martins in the Fields 22 Jan 1764 ,born 30th Nov.
Birth/Baptism  for father  24 Feb 1717/6 to Nathaniel and Susanna at St Clement Danes.

Unfortunately I can't see a Rebecca.

ps the index for St Andrews for that date of baptisms is on Familysearch but no entries for the Lott family on there.

My grateful thanks to Rosie and ciderdrinker for their help ;D

They look like the right people but I shall procede with caution until I find Rebecca Lotte, her details should confirm i have the right people.

I found the records for St Bennets Wharf on a favorite site of mine the "Archive.org" there are many London registers on there but I did not know which church to search!

There are of course many missing London Registers i.e. not available online, not transcribed etc. making life more difficult.

I have made much progress today as the info provided kickstarted my search.

Nathaniel lotte (1682-1721) married Susannah Bowyer 1708 St James Dukes place,  by licence so the details confirmed they are the right people. both 26yrs.

Nathaniel B.1682 possibly St Clement Danes can you help with his baptism?

Many Thanks Nigel ;)

With regards to Rebecca Lotte - she may have married into the lotte family and not be a Lotte by birth.

Thomas Lotta/Lett married Elizabeth ?
They had a daughter Rebecca bap 6 January 1778 at St Martin in the Fields.

Possible this is her brother Thomas mentioned born/bap 1753.
