Hi the marriage of Samuel Taylor to Mary Ann Southwell, could her surname have been SOUTHALL?
Keyboard86

Southwell was put down as Mother's maiden name on Sarah Taylor's birth certificate but I think it is supposed to be Southall as that was Mary Ann's maiden name at her marriage to Samuel Taylor: -

Name Mary Ann Southall

Birth Date 1834
Marriage Date 08 Jun 1854
Marriage Place St. Edmund'S, Dudley, Worcester, England
Father Joseph Southall
Spouse Samuel Taylor
FHL Film Number 992182
Reference ID yr 1852-1856 p 118Household Members

Mary Ann Southall

Samuel Taylor

Hi,

I don't know if this could be  the 3rd child. There are quite a few  Adams/ Taylor Marriages

Births Sep 1914
ADAMS    Eric T    Taylor    Stourbridge    6c   29

Deaths Dec 1914
Adams    Eric T    0    Stourbridge    6c   1

I still can't find a death for Sarah

kd

Not sure if Eric is the third brother of Arthur John and Philip Edwin Adams? Their mother Sarah was living at her sister in law's on the 1901 Census... so it looks like she moved out sometime between the birth of Philip Edwin in 1899 and the 1901 census?

Yes I saw that one but don't think it is our Sarah as Philip Henry Adams was still alive then... Philip Henry Adams passed away on 21 March 1953.

Wonder if Sarah is on the 1951 Census?
