FindMyPast - there are 2 Balsham baptisms to a John and Anne Ellam - Anne, 28 Dec 1722 and Mary, 28 Dec 1724. Cannot spot any later than this.

FindMyPast has the baptism of an Anne Stinton, 4 May 1677, Linton, parents Thomas and Elizabeth.

An Anne Ellam was buried Balsham, 13 Sep 1730, no age given and an Ann (no "e") Ellam buried Linton 18 Nov 1753 (no age given).

Could the Anne, bap 4 May 1677 have borne 2 children 1722/1724?

The marriage was at Horseheath (not Balsham), 25 March 1722
Another Stinton marriage there was Francis Stinton, 6 Nov 1721

Baptisms in Horseheath to Richard and Ann Stinton, starting 1701 (no Ann)
Before that, baptisms there to Richard and Ann Stiventon, including Francis, 1695, and Ann Stiventon,
5 July 1797.

Could the Stiventons/Stintons be the same family?
John

Hence the query "Could she have borne   ?" and the fact only 2 children appear to have been borne. only been able to spot 2 Anne Stinton marriages - 1722 and 1725 (Stephen Hunt) - both at Horseheath.

The marriage was at Horseheath (not Balsham), 25 March 1722

John Illam + Ann Stinton

The Ann who married 1725 was a widow.

Hi John

I think you are right about the two Steventon baptisms for Ann an Francis as the 2 marriages reflect in 1721 band 1725. Well spotted .

Many thanks

David :D
