Catherine Clara taylor born third quarter 1914 Worcester Mother’s maiden name Parker. Looks like the Albert I born 1919 is probably mistranscribed as I instead of J. She married Maurice roots 1940 Colchester registration district, of which west bergholt is a

You are on the money nannyj .... I realise now that Catherine C Taylor, born in Worcester,(I missed spotting that one) was her child (named after Rebecca's mother Clara)  Another piece of the jigsaw. Thanks.  ps It was Albert James.

I think it’s your family tree on a well-known site? It has james dying in Colchester 1950 but there’s a james Taylor with the right birth year dying in Worcester December 1945. Could that be a reason for Rebecca’s return to Essex? Wonder why they went to Worcester and why Rebecca and the son and daughter came back to Essex?

I started looking for them on 1939 registration. Found Catherine Clara down as roots (Taylor) in 1939 even though she didn’t marry til 1940. There’s a james taylor in Worcester but no Rebecca or Jane.
Rebecca j also on lexden/winstree registration district as is Catherine.

P.s. just found James in lexden. The discounts the Worcester death, I’d say.

No. Just Rebecca’s farm and where she died in west bergholt.

Maurice roots left nearly £12000 to Catherine Clara and charles Henry Taylor (who is Clara’s brother on the family tree. There’s also a fanny Elizabeth and two that are down as private, which means they are still alive - probably Albert?

Nammyj, I am now sure that Rebecca J Parker from West Ham is the same girl that came to Worcester about 1914 (we know Catherine was born Worcester 1914). I have found a document that shows that Albert Parker(Rebecca's father) from West Ham, bought a farm in Worcester in 1919 and that James Taylor was the farm manager. But, for some reason they no longer farmed there after 1925/26? . Did James Taylor die young and did this prompt the family move back to Essex?
