Hi Bell
The Benjamin Carter that died in Sankey 1894 was not yours, your Ben Greaves Carter died 4th quarter 1893 aged 4 in Ashton (Godley) registation district.
There looks as if there could be more children born between Walter 1874 and Mary 1886 but non show up on the census's, I have looked at the free BMD index and there are about 120 Carter deaths in Chorlton reg district between those dates, and many of them where possibles for being yours, obviously unless a death certificate is purchased it is not possible to see who the parents were.
This is the link for you to check. http://freebmd.rootsweb.com/cgi/search.pl
As to whether there are any living relatives I cannot tell you, I would suggest that if your serious about finding out, then you will have to search through the GRO BMD index to follow the trail of the Carters. If you know of any that may be alive but don't know where they are then you could search the electoral register at http://www.192.com/ but it does cost.

Hope this is of some help, come back if there is anything else.

Hi
There is no way of knowing for sure unless you purchase the death certificates. It is a logical thought though.
I do not know where Benjamin would be buried, it might be worth your while trying this site to see what they have it is not a lot of money for a great deal of info.
