Hi Bell
It looks as if we had the right one then. I think the John William Greaves must be a relation of Emily Carter nee Greaves.

Was the death of Benjamin at 106 Victoria Road Dukinfield or did the informant John Greaves live there ?

Hi bell,

Some of the Tameside records are online, try: http://www.tameside.gov.uk/corpgen2/cemandcrem.htm

and on the list on the left hand side you will see "search the records".  There is a record for a William and an Emily Carter with the same grave reference number.

Good luck,

Jean
