Hi Rodney, Richard Edwin Johns was my grandfather, my mother Iris Delooze was his second daughter. He was known as Dick Johns and his wife Mary Kathleen Johns nee Solomon was known as Kath. They had 3 children a girl still living, Iris born 6th Aug 1936-died 30th March 2006 & a boy still living. Uncle Fred I don’t believe had any kids he passed away in Busselton at the house of My Aunty. I don’t know much about uncle Alf.

You have mentioned the names of two people, siblings of your mother.
By their birth years, they may be still living.

Thanks Sue, I have no idea what I’m doing. I’ve fixed it, hopefully it’s ok now. I have pictures I tried to upload from my phone as well but it said the post was too big. So I deleted them. I don’t know how to make them smaller from my phone.

What a very pleasant surprise to hear from you. I was looking a while back to see what I could find about some of Harriet Jane Roberts (later Harriet Johns) and her family. She interests me because she is the sister of Henry Winn Roberts, my great great grand father. They both came to the colonies and settled in Bendigo. Harriet, as you will likely know, had her first two children in Victoria, before returning to Cornwall. I enjoy seeing them on English census records with their birthplaces here.

Sue is right. I am very happy to share information with you, as much as I know about the Roberts family in Australia and in Cornwall (which I recently visited, including Constantine, very much Roberts territory). I will send you my email address by a private message on here.

She and her first husband  were  living in the same district as Frederick JOHNS from the 1925 Electoral Roll to 1943 E. Roll. She had first married in 1921.
