1871 census - COTTERELL in Walsall
« on: Friday 05 August 05 14:43 BST (UK) »
I'm looking for Margaret COTTERELL (or alternative spellings) who was born in Walsall in Q3 1864.

In 1881 she was living with her mother, Susan (b. 1829 in Walsall), five sisters and two brothers - no sign of the father. Family rumour has it that he was a bit of lady's man and was booted out.

The family in 1871 would have been:

Susan Cotterell, 42
Edward, 13
Jesse, 9
Margaret, 6
Florence, 5
Beatrice, 2
Susan, 1

All born in Walsall.

Many thanks in advance,

Justin

Andy,

Quite prolific!

That will keep me busy for tracing all their descendents.

Thanks very much, again!

Justin

Catherine,

Sorry I missed your reply.

Yes, I had found that record thank you.

John must have been married to Susannah Wilkinson as Susan Cotterell was the head of the household in 1881.
