My Grandmother Mary Edwards
« on: Wednesday 21 February 18 21:27 GMT (UK) »
This is my late Grandmother, she died well before I was born, she fell down the stairs and fractured her skull, 1882-1929, in Salford, Lancashire, just received this pic via e-mail from a distant cousin, so sadly I have no control over the scan settings, I have never had a pic of her so here's hoping you wizards can do something to the pic, a clean-up would be great, a little colour a miracle, apparently she is posing with the rag and bone man and a Pidgeon, feel free  to play around with the pic, I will be grateful for any improved result's.

Many thanks,

Peter.

Thank you so far for your efforts, clean-ups are great and the colours are very subtle, I'm well pleased with the results, although the pidgeon looks more of a hinderence than anything else, the story behind the pic is bequeathed from Mary's daughter who is still with us at 94 years young, the story handed down through the years is a local photographer posed Mary with the rag and bone man one day when he was out taking pics of that particular area of Salford, Lancs, unsure if the pidgeon was a gift in return for clean rags in those times, a change from soap, balloons and stone yer step blocks, although the neck tie does look a little like a prop.

Thanks again,

Cheers.
