Hi there
This sounds interesting.  I am doing the research on behalf of my husband's family - Galloway - whose grandmother was Josephine Mitchell.
The family also talked about a cross being carried before them in the Battle of Culloden and it being kept in a relative's attic.  Flora MacDonald was also mentioned.  I am interested in the connection with Skye and the change of name

Hi, Josephine was also my grandmother, my father was Victor brother of George. Wold it be possible to get copies of the documents , my father talked about them a great deal and it would also mean a lot to me. I think your husband is my half cousin. i can give you my email address if you want to communicate directly. As for the cross and the sword, my Father believed that their sister Muriel actually gave them to the catholic church.

Hi there
Was your father Oswald Victor brother of Basil George?
The papers I have came from Eric Francis, the last of the children of Marie Josephine Mitchell?
