Could be James and Edna parted company after the youngest child was born, then along came Mary HARDY?

Actually if the eldest of seven was born in 1942 then James could not have married c1924 unless there was an earlier wife than Edna ::)

The two REYNOLDS sons named on the plaque for Edna May McMAHON........can you ask them about the use of the McMAHON name, and death details....where / when of their mother?

Your Maxwell Bryant REYNOLDS would seem to have a family name as second given name.

Among his six siblings do you see a given name that might be a family name........clue to  origins of their father?

re........So, the marriages that Essie found for ..............James Augustus Breant REYNOLDS and Thelma Agnes SAUNDERS in 1943.... are these people your relations?!

So, no relation to neeky.

Further searching has found the death in QLD in 1951 for James Augustus Breant REYNOLDS b. 1904, and he was the son of Abel Antoine Auguste BREANT and Edith Amelia REYNOLDS formerly BREANT nee SMITH.

Hi there, I know this post was a while ago, but James Reynolds was my grandfather. My father was one of his sons, Allen Reynolds. He sadly passed last week. Maxxy was his favourite person and was devastated by his death. Is the original poster a child of one of Max's children? I would love to hear from you.
