We're looking for Matthew's widow,  Elizabeth Ann Bowey. Danby was her maiden name  :D

Yes Jen, I did know that, but in Scotland you get the maiden name, so I reconed that there may be a slim chance that she was registered under her maiden name.

Dawn, xinia definitely hadn’t posted a certificate, to the best of my recollection it was to do with the 1901 census.

I am sure the powers that be will understand it was an inadvertent error and that you didn't set out to break rules .. whatever infraction this was ...

I am glad to hear that these developments are exciting to the descendants.  Now we are all agog now about Elizabeth! ;D

I wonder which will happen first this week xinia, you getting a reply from the bereavement services or me getting back to the library.  It is Bank holiday Monday coming up so bereavement services will be closed. It would be nice to see this through to the happy conclusion of finding the grave.    :)
