Names as entered.  "By publication" = by Banns  :-\  Looks like parish of Winwick.
Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.
Remember - "They'll be found when they want to be found" !!!

I agree with BumbleB -- Winwick by Banns. No witnesses or other information given. However the year looks like 1695.
Places of interest;
Lancashire, West Yorkshire, Southern Ireland, Scotland.

Sorry Pennines, but the image clearly states 96 for all the marriages on that particular page.

Thank you for all your help- maybe this was just too much of a coincidence with the names as the family of Woodnorth/Woodworth are around Weaverham through to Barthomley and weston. I think the location is probably too far north in the county. Thank you all.

It's only 14 miles between Weaverham and Winwick  :-\

So it is still a possibility then- thank you. I was just thinking that at the turn of the 1700s that was still quite a way to travel- could they have been working on the canals? how would that work? Just a thought.

Might have cracked it! Sankey canal had Winwick key. Sankey canal formed part of the canal link between Liverpool/Manchester into Cheshire re salt and coal- so it may make more sense than i realised. Weaverham is near to Northwich which was a main centre of salt production.

Could very well have worked the canals or the rivers.  I'm also thinking that you mention Weston as a location - is that Weston in Runcorn?

Weaverham - near the River Weaver.  Weston (Runcorn) - River Weaver/River Mersey.  Warrington - River Mersey, or even the Manchester Ship Canal.

Your version is better.
