I am trying to decipher some words in the attached marriage.
Where and when ...  Does it say schoolroom ?
Residence husband ... does it say The ? flats?
Residence wife ... does it say "The Chapman?
Can you decipher the names of the witnesses?
Appreciate any help you can offer.

Thanks so much so far.  Details of schoolroom confirmed and places of residence thanks.  Will look into both a little more during the time frame.  Yes I am hoping Mary Ann is a relative.  Just a question here ... do you think it is Mary Anne or perhaps Mary Jane?  Expert handwriting advice appreciated.  Also any luck with first witness ?? I think John for first name?

I see what you mean, but as I see it the middle name has a horizontal bar at the end with a raised letter, which usually means a contraction as in bride's father's name Jas with a dot under the 's' - for James. It could of course be Mac  ......
