John Leak(e) b. 1816 in derbyshire. Might be Troway or Barlborough but not sure. Wife was Sarah if that helps.

There is a good chance that the Eckington baptism I found is your John - Troway is in Eckington district, Methodists didn't have a chapel in every village and also the John and Mary in Troway in 1841 are old  to be John's parents. I found the baptism on this site

The IGI does not have all parish records extracted, some parishes are better than others.

aren't you searching for another branch of leaks? ann leak wasn't it? she isn't related with this branch of leaks since she died in 1866. i'm hoping she was the wife of a john ellis leake instead of these so if your still willing to do the lookup then yes please
