Marriage St Neots Registration 1850

I am looking for a marriage between Joseph Dawson and Elizabeth Bull which took place in St Neots registration area  between October and December 1850

1851 they are in St Neots his occupation was a painter, (house painter), both he and Elizabeth are shown as 21, haven't as yet found either on 1841 but as still looking

1861 showing Joseph born in Bedfordshire and Elizabeth in St Neots, son aged 8 born St Neots

Any help much appreciated

I have no other info apart from the possibility that they may have been married in Eaton Socon across the border. Bull is in my sons/wifes family and have found a few crossing the border but living in St Neots

Since a registration district covers a large area you will need to order the marriage certificate.  Marriage Locater is not showing which church, so it is possible it may have been in the a Register Office.

Thank you both for your replies, 1841 is very feint for an Elizabeth Bull which might be her, unfortunately it is almost unreadable

The only reason I think I am on the right track is their son, MMN is Bull

Since Joseph was consistent with his age, it is possible he is the same Joseph in the Bluecoats Hospital in Bedford in 1841.

I did see that Jebber., it does fit in with his age, he does seem consistent with his age doesn't he?, I wonder what he was doing there

He certainly looks a good possibility but  even if you could locate admission registers for the hospital and they showed his parentage,  without the marriage certificate to find his father's name you really have no knowing it is the right person. It is one of those times that the only way of progressing is to bite the bullet and fork out for the certificate.

Yes Jebber I think you are right , they seem to have had only 1 child, well only one listed with MMN Bull, I am going to try to persuade my cousin to buy the cert

Jebber, I am still beavering away at the Dawson/Bull connection

You suggested looking at admission registers for Blue Coat Hospital Bedford  Bedfordshire, have you any idea where I might find the ledger, it holds a very few occupants with no reason why they are there

I cannot find much about this family till their son marries  in London 1872
