It could be in error.  Henry and Mary immigrated to US in 1820 or 1821. Their daughter was born in Belfast in 1791 in Belfast. Her name was Isabella. She married James Dunn on 1 May 1817 in Castledown, Londonderry.  She and James immigrated to US with her parents. Her marriage location is family legend.

Henry Caufield was born 1767 in Castledown.  He married Married Mary Castles (Cassils) supposedly in 1787 .  However, she was very young. Family legend tells us that she was born 1775 in Drumbeg, Co. Down.

I'm looking for Henry's parents.

Does this information still seem suspect?

I've noticed that County Londondeery is 149.2 sq. Miles.   My home county, Brooks Co. Texas is not large by Texas standards at 944 Sq. MILES.     Ive done a lot of Hispanic geneaology for my area in the 1750-1820 era.  While most married people who were very close, there were instances of folks 35 or 40 miles apart marrying.

You need to stop thinking of distances in American terms where things are much more spread out.

My grandfather's uncle (born 1850) wrote about his early days in 1924:
Of my mother’s father I knew but little as we lived at the then great distance of 7 or 8 miles and saw him only when he came to visit us or father and mother went to visit him, taking some of us children with them."
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!
