I  have just received death certificates for my grandmother and uncle who died in Leith in 1910. I cannot understand the cause of death either. Even our G.P. cannot understand it.
It would be wonderful if someone could help me.

gin_andy,

If you submit a Contact Form to ScotlandsPeople advising them that (part of) the certificate is illegible, they will (in my experience) post out a completely legible paper copy.

Can't read all the words but the first one starts "Fatty degeneration" and the last word looks like "disease".  The second one starts "General".
