Cocks of Gloucestershire
« on: Saturday 31 July 04 22:25 BST (UK) »
Thomas Cocks born c1794, was an upholsterer in Gloucester Cathedral he was also a beadsman.  All the Cocks' seem to have been Cabinet Makers, they were all christened at Kemerton having been born in the Gloucester area although over the years some were born in Aston, Warwicks.

Is anyone else researching any of the following.....
Samuel Cocks born c1827
William Cocks born c 1836
Ann Cocks born c 1820
Henry  Cocks born c 183
Edmund Cocks born c1853
William Clifford Cocks born 1855

Thank you Frances for your interest, I don't think that yours is right as we have Thomas Cocks christened 1794 Ebrington Gloucester, parents Charles and Sarah Cocks.
According to IGI they married 1785, at which time it was Cox, children were John Cox 1786,  William Cox 1787,Mary Cocks 1789,  Thomas Cocks 1794, Sarah Cocks 1796-1796, John Cocks 1802, Ann Cocks 1807-1808, all christened as shown at Ebrington with same parents.
As I am not able to get to Gloucester to confirm this info I am struggling a bit. :(

Good hunting
