After searching online it shows these records can be searched on the national archives site and on ancestry, so maybe the site has closed as the records are available elsewhere just an idea.

The canterbury-cathedral.org website is working, its just the wills.canterbury-cathedral.org part that isn't.  Its possible its been moved and the link not updated or just an error with that section.

It's a digital archive of the web.  It's great for accessing websites that have disappeared.

Hi

Thank to everyone for all the ideas and suggestions. I didn't get time to phone the Canterbury Cathedral Archives today as I had gone to the National Archives in London. Whilst I was there I accessed the database via the computers in the London Family History Centre and it worked fine. I have now just tried it again and home and it looks like the website is working ok now.

Hopefully it was just a blip yesterday and the problem has been resolved.

   I discovered this website very recently, and have not investigated yet. Am I right in thinking the records are on microfilm at the Cathedral Archives?
