A Dublin newspaper article of 19 April 1901, about improperly labelled margarine being sold, cited the premises as the 'Limerick House' at 52 South Great George's Street.


A 1903 Dublin newspaper sales notice described the premises as four storeys high with a shop, 9 apartments, kitchen, yard, w.c. and mentioned that the late owner had carried on a successful provision business there for many years.

Looks like the Perry family were Trunk manufacturers for generations, John Perry died 1867 Trunk Manufacturer

Looking at a 'box' for sale online the makers label reads.
Geo. Perry & Co. Trunk Makers Limited 11 Grafton Street Dublin. Established 1840.

Apologise for the late response.  Thanks to everyone for your help with this. 

It certainly appears the reference to G Perry is that of the packing company. 

With regard to the provisions company & the article about the margarine,  does the Dublin newspaper article mention the name of the company?  Can anyone find a will for this John G Gibson?

The name mentioned was Edward Ryan.

The April 1901 newspaper article described the Limerick House at 52 South Great George's Street as being the defendant Edward Ryan's establishment, the article said that he had been in business for eight years, one of the witnesses in the story included 'a shop boy in the employment of the defendant', but the rest of the article is just about the incident itself and offers no other relevant information that I can see.
