Hi all a little update
Took everyone's advise and gathered all the info and then started searching again.
I found a 1841 census with william and Catherine macdonald /a blacksmith but says both born Ireland with a 4 month old Mary in Manchester
Unlike the 1851 census that said born London
Also baptism of catherine mcdonald to William and Catherine MacDonald 22 /7 1846 born Manchester
