1851 Census at same address we have;
15 Blenheim St, Westgate
John Hornsby, 54, Clerk to Iron Founder, born Northd, Benton (Longbenton)
Sarah Hornsby, 37, Wife, born Northd, Newton on the Moore
Adolph Ewphotey, 21

So this is the John born Lonbenton and the other 1841/1851 Census's I posted are for the John Hornsby who married Sarah Walton.

I think this is more likely the Death Reg of John who married Sarah Walton;

GRO Reference: 1847  D Quarter in GATESHEAD UNION  Volume 24  Page 109

Their last child Margaret from 1851 Census was born Heworth, Durham. And widowed Sarah and are there in 1851 Census.
Gateshead is the reg district for Heworth.

Hello everyone. I was wondering if anyone was able to help with tracing my father’s family tree. His name is John Thomas Hornsby born 19th August 1943. He was born in Whitley bay. I know he had older siblings, with a large age gap between him and his eldest sibling, he was the youngest of five I think. His mother’s name was Violet and I believe she was born sometime between 1900-1910. He immigrated to New Zealand a year or so before I was born. Living here in NZ I haven’t been able to access many records or had much luck online.

Yes, Dad passed away on the 1st of March 2023 in Auckland Hospital.

I have asked my Mum for their marriage cert (which is what I assume is M/C) and his death cert and she will pass onto me within the week.

Are you able to track the siblings from where you found Dads parents info?
