Yes I take your point re a process of elimination- but as I'm sure you know it is always great fun to find that tiny bit of conclusive proof.
Unfortunately I couldn't find a will for John Bradshaw.
Yes finding the Aunt would probably unlock a great deal. I think John Bradshaw married Elizabeth Hous(e)man and so I've searched the names Bradshaw, Croft and Houseman but no luck thus far.
