Just been on the GRO site and left off Moyise  still no matching results.

Have a death certificate coming up for  Seymour Joan - but can I be sure it is the right one when there is no mention of MOYISE

Then just order it using the MOYISE details found for you via FreeBMD.  (But it looks likely to be the same death registration, differently indexed).

GRO index doesn’t appear to have Seymour J Moyice 1946 death entry only Joan Seymour but SJM entry is on FreeBMD as posted by Pauline

Yes, I see it shows MOYISE Seymour J  and SEYMOUR Joan and have been on the GRO site again and a death certificate comes up for Seymour Joan. If it is her, there has been a mistake, using her christian name for her surname.

Yes, It appears to be a error on FreeBMD. It was Pauline who pointed out the Seymour Joan which I tried and gives me a death certificate - unfortunately, wrong surname.

Have been into the GRO site again and put in SEYMOUR Joan with the other details and there is a death certificate, can only think they have put her christian name Seymour as her surname.

If you can find an entry on another site but not in the GRO, or an entry incorrect on the GRO website, there is a facility on the website to inform them of the problem. They are very good at checking and making corrections, and have acted quite swiftly when I have notified them of a problem.
