I have been following this thread and wondered about the address on the d/c. Do you know if this was the family's address?

As it is on the high street I wondered if it might have been a baker's shop?

It is currently shops with accommodation above and would have been the same in 46 I imagine.

You might well be able to get the details of these births from  West London Hospital, I was a twin being born not expected to live, I did manage to get the details but I had to send my birth cert, my parents marriage cert and her death cert, BUT, because I didn't at the time get my brothers permission he wasn't mentioned but he was born a healthy young chap.

I feel this is very sad

Louisa Maud

Their births are on GRO. Still waiting to hear from GRO regarding Seymour's death cert.

Yes, it appears to be. On the death certificate above the father's name is  has:

Signature, Description and Residence of Informant.

You could be right, as you say it being currently shops with accommodation above and would have been the same in 46 I imagine.

Interesting.

Thank you

I think that number 17 might have been on the left half of Moss Bros:

A good map with contemporary numbering:
https://maps.nls.uk/geo/explore/side-by-side/#zoom=19&lat=51.5129&lon=-0.3055&layers=170&right=BingHyb

Presumably the "A" refers to the first floor.

The maps are excellent. Many thanks.

I suppose John AS W Moyise being a Retail Bread Salesman would possibily have the shop.
Here is a another question - his father -in-law Thoams R KIDMAN was a Master Baker & Confectioner.  In 1939 he lived at 8 Southfied Road, Acton, Middlesex and was wondering if the shop, could have been his and, his son-in-law lived above it.

Perhaps I am well out as far as places go.

On closer inspection of the first map it looks as if the shop SWAMI Express is 15.

I'm not sure cupcake.

The 60's looking section containing Nationwide may be bomb damage replacement (or just a poor planning decision). Firstly I counted up from the small alleyway you can see on the map, but because on street view it is not obvious where that is, probably due to the rebuild I mentioned, I counted the "house" numbers back from the corner of Bond Street. That was how I decided that 17 was Moss Bros. I could have got that wrong though.  :)

Wherever it was, you get an idea of the building and the area, and very nice it is too.  :)
